Install Printers on PLNU Windows Computers

ITS automates the install of departmental printers on University owned and managed computers, but there are times when an additional printer must be installed.  Installing PLNU network printers onto PLNU computers is done in a specific way that is unlike installing a personal, home, or locally connected printer.  This article shows how to do so, and how to choose a default printer.

If prompted for administrative credentials when installing a printer that is directly connected to your computer via USB or another cable, please call the Solution Center at 619-849-2222.

Support for Windows

PLNU Windows computers automatically install department printers of the logged-in user. Additional printers may be selected from network servers.  Installed network printers do not carry over to different users on the same computer.  Print jobs will only print if connected to a PLNU campus network, or if connected to VPN from off campus.
