ID Photo Submission

There are two ways you can submit your photo: on your mobile device, or on a computer. Photos submitted by any other means will not be accepted. Taking your ID photo with most smart phones works well.

Mobile Device

1.    Download the Transact eAccounts app from the App Store or the Google Play store.
2.    After launching the app, select Point Loma Nazarene University.
3.    Tap OneLogin and login with your PLNU username and password.
4.    Tap the gear icon in the top left corner.
5.    Tap Submit ID Photo and then follow the on-screen instructions.
6.    Tap Get Started
7.    Review the listed requirements, and tap the cloud icon.
8.    Select the photo you want to use, and tap Submit and Sign out.

Computer

1.    Go to id.pointloma.edu in your web browser.
2.    Click Sign In
3.    Login with your PLNU username and password
4.    Click Profile, then click Click to submit new photo. A new tab will open.
5.    Click on the cloud icon.
6.    Select the photo you want to use, and click Submit and Sign out

Once your photo is submitted, the PLNU ID Services Team will review your photo within three business days and email you with approval or steps to take if your photo cannot be used.

Submission Guidelines

The key requirement is that the photo clearly identifies the ID holder. Tips for submitting an acceptable photo are listed below.

Dos

  • Use a current, in-focus, color photo without added effects or filters
  • Use a neutral colored, smooth background
  • Use proper lighting
  • Use a photo that is Cropped from just above the top of the head to the collarbone
  • Use a photo with a centered, front view of your full face
  • Make sure your eyes are visible and looking forward
  • Wear prescription glasses if you normally do so

DON'Ts

  • Use a photo of another photo
  • Use a photo of your driver's license, passport, or other form of identification
  • Use black and white, or blurry photos
  • Use photos taken more than six months ago
  • Use photos with shadows on your face
  • Crop off the top of your head
  • Use a side angle your face
  • Don’t close your eyes, look down, or to either side
  • Use a photo with a glare on your prescription glasses
  • Wear hats, sunglasses or other items that obscure your face
  • Use a photo with other visible people, pets, or objects
  • Use group photos
  • Rest your hand on your face
