This article was written to detail how to connect to AirParrot using PLNU issued Windows computers. Airparrot is an app that acts as a stand in for Airplay on Windows computers.
Connect a Windows computer to Airplay
- Connect to PLNU wireless network
- Download AirParrot
- Instructions are available on downloading software via Company Portal on PLNU managed computers
- Open the AirParrot app from the start menu
- Make sure to select Airplay Mode on podium Crestron screen
- Reference the information displayed on the TV
- Enter the Apple TV name in the "To" box within the Airparrot menu: [name].ptloma.edu
- The [name] is specific to the Apple TV displayed on the screen (see screenshot below for an example)
- Enter the passcode displayed on the Apple TV
For previously connected devices
- Devices show up under the 'To' box
- To connect, click the classroom Apple TV name
- Enter the passcode displayed on the Apple TV
