PLNU ID Terms and Conditions

Summary

Terms and Conditions for the Digital PLNU ID

Body

  1. PLNU ID Credentials (Credentials) are the official physical and digital means of identification for Point Loma Nazarene University (University). Credentials can be activated digitally on Apple iPhones, Apple Watches, and Android phones (collectively referenced as  Mobile Credentials), or as physical ID cards.
  2. Credentials will be issued only to individuals currently enrolled for classes, currently employed by the University, professors granted Professor Emeritus status, or affiliates of the University as identified by Human Resources, Academic Affairs, or University Services.
  3. A Credential holder may only have one active Credential at any given time, except in the case of supported smart devices, where a Credential holder may have one supported smartphone and/or one supported smart watch enrolled for Mobile Credentials. If a Physical ID Card is issued, any existing Mobile Credentials will be deactivated, and if a Credential Holder enrolls in Mobile Credential, any existing Physical ID cards will be deactivated.
  4. If a Credential Holder desires to obtain a Physical ID card instead of a Mobile Credential, they may be charged a $30 fee. To replace a previously issued Physical ID card, regardless of the replacement reason, the Credential holder may be charged a $30 fee.
  5. By adding the Mobile Credential to Apple Wallet or Google Pay, or accepting a Physical ID card,  you are agreeing  to accept all current and future campus policies relative to the University Credential.
  6. Credentials are to be used only by the person to whom they are issued, the Credential holder. Presentation for use by someone other than the Credential holder constitutes misuse.
  7. Misuse of the Credential may result in possible disciplinary action. The Credentials may be confiscated or revoked at the University’s sole discretion for violation of University policies and procedures.
  8. All functions of the Credential will be deactivated when the Credential holder’s active status is ended.
  9. The Credentials must be presented upon request at the time of use to obtain services or to establish official University status. Credentials of any type can be used at all campus ID card readers such as for payments, meal plan use, door access, chapel attendance, and more.
  10. If a Physical ID card, or a device enrolled with Mobile Credentials is lost or stolen, the Credential holder must be reported immediately to the ITS Help Desk or the Department of Public Safety. The University will not be responsible for transactions that occur using lost or stolen Credentials.
  11. Credential Holders can deactivate lost or stolen Credentials via eAccounts (via https://id.pointloma.edu or the eAccounts mobile app). If found or recovered, deactivated credentials can be reactivated through eAccounts.
