Zoom Passcode Requirement

Zoom now requires passcodes for all meetings created by accounts that use PLNU's license.  For the most part, this change will go unnoticed by attendees, because the passcode is typically included in Zoom meeting links that are sent to invitees.  But there are some cases when an old meeting link (from before the passcode requirement) needs to be updated to include a newly-added passcode.  This article demonstrates 2 methods for doing that.

Method 1: With Zoom Plugin for Google Calendar

*Note: following these instructions does not delete the meeting itself; it only updates the Zoom invite link to include the required passcode.

1. In Google Calendar, find the meeting, and click the pencil icon to edit it
    
2. Click on the trash can icon (to the right of the Join Zoom Meeting button)
   
    
3. Click the blue Make it a Zoom Meeting button
   
    
4. Click Save at the top of the screen
   (If prompted, select "this and following events")
    
5. Click Send when prompted, in order to update existing Google Calendar invitations

Method 2: Without Zoom Plugin for Google Calendar

1. Locate the meeting in question at https://zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming
   (If prompted to log in, choose the "SSO" option, and Company Domain is "pointloma.zoom.us")
    
2. Click Delete to the right of the meeting
   (button will appear once mouse is near)
   
    
3. A popup window will appear; click the new red Delete button
    
4. Click Recently Deleted near the top-right corner
   
    
5. Find the meeting in question and click Recover
   
    
6. Click Back to Upcoming Meetings
    
7. Click on the name of the meeting in question
    
8. The new invite link will have the passcode embedded, allowing invitees to join
