Ricoh has a Toner Cartridge Return Program. There are three different preparation methods for returning used toner to Ricoh: the first two require that you have the pre-paid shipping label that may have been included in the shipping box of the new toner; the last option allows you to print a prepaid shipping label.
For cartridges that have UPS or FedEx shipping labels
Remove the label from the new toner box. Place the used and sealed cartridge in the box and tape the prepaid shipping label to the outside of the package. Please follow any return instructions provided on the label.
For multiple cartridges using the original packaging or a large box that you supply:
By returning multiple cartridges at one time, you'll reduce the CO2 impact of shipping individual cartridges. Please remove toner cartridges out of individual boxes and consolidate the cartridges into a larger cardboard box. Tape the prepaid label to the package, and be sure to tape all seams to prevent toner leakage. Make arrangements with Mail Services to drop off or have them pick up the package. According to Ricoh, the return package’s dimensions should be:
- No larger than 165 inches (419 cm) in combined length and girth (2x width + 2x height).
- No longer than 108 inches (270 cm).
- No more than 25 lbs. in weight.
For toner cartridges that do not have a prepaid shipping label inside the box
In order to print prepaid labels, visit Ricoh's Product Stewardship and Recycling page. Near the bottom of the page there is a large Prepaid Shipping Label button. Click this button to print a prepaid shipping label. Tape the label to the outside of the package, and follow the return instructions on the form. For the prepaid shipping label link to work properly, you must access it through the Product Stewardship and Recycling page; you will not be able to bookmark the UPS page directly.
Note: When filling out the form to print the prepaid label to return the consumables, you need an EDP code. EDP codes are product designations used to identify a specific consumable item for Ricoh, Savin and Lanier products. You can find the code on the label of the original carton box; in some instances, it can be found on the cartridge or container itself. If the box is unavailable or the cartridge/container is unmarked, please contact Ricoh Support if you need assistance locating the EDP.
